This page explains what happens to data when you visit heatmup.com. The short version: we don't ask for your name, we don't run accounts, and the only thing you can hand over directly is your email on the waitlist form if you choose to.
No signup is required to use the site. There's no login, no profile, no paywall. You can read every forecast, open every archived page, and compare every model output without typing a single piece of personal information.
If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit and the time you submitted it. That's the only personal data the project collects from you directly. The email is used to let you know when something on the waitlist is ready. It isn't sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing.
The site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns, such as which pages are visited and from which countries. It also uses Google AdSense to show ads that keep the project free. Both of these tools are run by Google and may set cookies or collect data like IP address, device type, and browser information under Google's own privacy terms.
Apart from Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and the waitlist email, no other personal information is collected at this time. There's no tracking pixel network, no data broker integration, and no behavioral profile built by Heatmup itself. If that changes in the future, this page will change with it.
You can block cookies in your browser or use an ad blocker. The forecasts still load. You can also ask for your waitlist email to be deleted by writing to [email protected] from that same address. Deletion is usually processed within a reasonable time.
The site is provided as-is. Heatmup accepts no liability for how Google or any other third-party service handles data collected through their own tools on this site. Their policies apply to that data, and you can read them on their own websites.
Questions about privacy, data requests, or anything legal go to [email protected]. That address is monitored for those purposes. For everything else, the forecasts are the main thing worth your attention.
